Men and young men who are still growing up are instructed to be honest and protect women and children, in an event organized by hlalisutu (young men of the Nazarene church in Buhleni), who are dancing in the squares of Njobo, Kwesa KwaMthethwa.

This event was attended by the Mayor of Mfolozi Municipality, Mr. Xolani Bhengu, at the sports grounds in Mfaniso, KwesaKwaMthethwa, Mpangeni recently. This event, which was the first of its kind, was in line with the government’s initiative to encourage men to be honest and protect women and children.

Speaking, Reverend Thokozani Gumede from Mseni, Nkandla, who was specially invited as a shepherd of Njobo, said that the important thing is when the young men come together, it is a good opportunity for them to be inspired to run their homes with love, peace and respect. He said that makes the work of the government easier if people can live together in peace.

He said unmarried young men are encouraged to get married.

Bhengu said it is good to see men united in a good cause such as encouraging each other to protect women and children, since the killing of women, especially young people in the municipality he manages has become a common occurrence. He promised to help the young men by buying them drums, drums and other things to help them when they are dancing.

“It is also written in the Bible that God is praised with drums and trumpets, so what you are doing is right,” said Bhengu.

The ceremony was attended by the Chiefs of the Mthethwa Chiefs. Among the anointings were Pastor Mthiyane who heads the churches in Kwesa KwaMthethwa, Evangelist Mdletshe from Bongani, Evangelist Mkhize from Sikhaleni, Sibusisweni, many preachers from temples, from Kwesa Kwa Mthethwa, and visitors who came from Mtubatuba and Durban.
