KAIZER Chiefs lived up to their dream of returning to the Caf Confederation Cup by coming back from the dead, defeating Orbit College FC in the Betway Premiership match on Monday afternoon, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Gqeberha.

With this win, the Chiefs, who have been trailing for a long time, have left their dream of returning to African games alive, as one of their acting coaches, Khalil Ben Youssef, said before the game.

Mulbulelo Wagaba opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before Wandile Duba equalized in the 42nd.

The chains of the Chiefs were untied in the 68th minute, when Mduduzi Shabalala put them in the lead with a goal he said he could score and was sent off. Ndlovu scored the third goal created by Flavio Da Silva who had just entered with him.

In another Betway Premiership match at Princess Magogo Stadium, KwaMashu, AmaZulu FC and Sekhukhune United played to a 2-2 draw.

Thapelo Matlhoko and Nkosikhona Radebe scored for Sotho, while Olerato Mandi and Bright Ndlovu scored for Babina.

These results left Chiefs in third place with 39 points in 21 games, Usuthu in fourth place with 38 points in 23 games and Sekhukhune in fifth place with 35 points in 23 games.

Orbit is still in danger of being relegated since it is in 15th place with 18 points from 23 games. It leaves Magesi FC at the bottom with four points, since this team from Limpopo has played 21 games.
