It has been confirmed good news for those close to Kaizer Chiefs with the approaching return to the field of its strong goalkeeper, Brandon Petersen, which is interpreted by the blowing of the jersey of Bruce Bvuma who has become angry in some parts of the fans due to obvious mistakes in recent games.

Petersen was the one who started the season in the sticks of the Chiefs before he suffered from an illness that started before the home game against Orlando Pirates at the end of February this year.

While the goalkeeper was the captain of the Chiefs, this team from Naturena was one of the hardest to get goals from.

The proof of this is when Petersen was admitted to the hospital followed by surgery, he had conceded 11 goals in 16 league games.

Petersen’s place was filled by Bvuma who faced difficulties since the Chiefs got bad results one after the other because he is the one in the sticks.

Although Chiefs have problems, his mistakes are more prominent because he continued to make them even after the team changed and won three league games in a row.

In the Chiefs’ five league games that Bvuma has stopped since Petersen fell ill, he has scored five goals, including three in the first (against the Pirates).

Chiefs’ recent recovery of dignity has rekindled hope by finishing at least in third place on the log where it currently sits with 39 points.

In the last league game won by Chiefs 3-1 against Orbit College FC, the goalkeeper made a mistake which again drew him from some of the Chiefs fans since he was not a starter.

After the Orbit game, Ben Youssef who is one of the substitutes for the Kings announced that it is not too late for Petersen to appear on the field.

“For the past two weeks, he has been working closely with the goalkeeper coaches, that’s why I am grateful to the doctors who have been preparing him to return to full training,” said Ben Youssef.

“I am satisfied with the way Petersen works, so he will be seen on the field soon,” said Ben Youssef.

Chiefs next game is at home against TS Galaxy on Sunday at 3.30 pm, at FNB Stadium, Nasrec.
