AFTER being relegated to Magesi FC in the Betway Premiership, goalkeeper Elvis “Ma-Thousand” Chipezeze, reveals that he has not made a decision about going down to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

It has become history that Magesi finally failed to retain their place in the Premiership after failing to get full points from Milford FC in a 1-1 draw in the last match of the PSL Promotion Play-Off last Saturday, at Seshego Stadium, Polokwane.

Milford, who finished third in the Motsepe Foundation Championship log in the previous season of 2025/2026, joined Kruger United in the Premiership which won the Championship league title.

The Magesi, who got themselves into trouble by finishing 15th in the Premiership log, return to the Championship which is the division they were in before being promoted at the end of the 2023/2024 season.

Chipezeze (36) who was there Magesi is promoted to the Premiership by winning the Championship title in the 2023/2024 season. I am also the one who led this team to the Carling Knockout title in the 2024/2025 season which was their first season promoted to the Premiership.

“It is still difficult to accept that I have once again experienced the same situation that happened to me when I was at Baroka FC. My spirit is broken because the team’s relegation is a situation that no professional footballer would wish for. But it’s no use crying over spilled milk, life must go on,” said Chipezeze, who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

The goalkeeper who also plays for the Zimbabwean national team, The Warriors, when asked if he will go down with Dikwena tsa Meetese to host them in the Championship, said that he will sit down with his manager before taking the next step.

“At the moment I have not made a final decision about my future, soon I will meet with my manager to find a way forward.

Even though I won’t have a problem going down with the team to play in the Championship, but if the opportunity arises for me to return to the Premiership, I can accept it too.

The most important thing is that I play regularly, especially since I am still called up to the national team, The Warriors,” said Chipezeze.

Chipezeze who came to Mzansi in the 2018/2019 season to play for Baroka, with whom he won the Telkom Knockout (aka Carling Knockout) in 2018, in the 2021/2022 season was axed when Baroka were axed from the Premiership.
