The coach of Orlando Pirates, Abdeslam Ouaddou, believes that there is still much good to come from young striker Yanela Mbuthuma.

Mbuthuma (23) had two good chances when Zimnyama were defeated by Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in a tense match of the Betway Premiership on Wednesday night.

In the first half, the ball he sent with his head was blocked by the goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams, and in the second half, his shot hit the goal.

He contributed to the Pirates scoring a goal scored by Patrick Maswanganyi in the second half.

“Regarding Mbuthuma, when you have a young player like him, as a coach you know that you have a player with many skills and a future in the team. What we can do is encourage him to continue working hard,” said Ouaddou.

“As someone who played professional football for many years, what I know is that there is nothing better than hard work, living a healthy life, and the way you train.

“Mbuthuma is doing well and has scored goals for us in previous games. I know he will continue to help the team. When you work with a young player like him, you have to make him confident.”

Ouaddou is not the first to praise Mbuthuma as he has already commented on his determination to mark the field which helps the team to quickly steal the ball from the opponents.

This player who came to Magebula at the beginning of this season from Richards Bay FC, has scored seven goals in 17 games in all competitions.
