ACTOR and presenter Boity Thulo has reminded many of the importance of visiting other countries, posting pictures of his recent holiday in Mauritius.

This business lady is well known for promoting the beauty of different countries when she visits. His recent trip made us want to know what attracts people to this island and what you can expect when planning a trip there.

Mauritius is an island in the Indian Ocean, located approximately 1,100 nautical miles from the southeast coast of Africa, east of Madagascar. It is a large island with other smaller ones including Rodrigues, Agaléga, andSt. Brandon.

Boity described this place in the way that all people describe it, that it is a paradise whose beauty does not change throughout the year. You see beautiful trees by the sea with clear blue water and white sand. World-class beach resorts, there are plenty of places to be found on the island. The amazing cultural diversity is reflected in the delicious food – as there is so much to choose from, there are Chinese, Indian, and even African.

When planning your trip, remember to prepare a visa, most tourists get 60 days of free stay.

Visiting time: The best time to visit it is between May to October which is considered to be the time when the weather is very cool and there is no rain. From November to April you can expect high temperatures and rain.

Oi did it in mauritius: Snorkeling, deep sea fishing, hiking in the Black River Gorges National Park, and visiting the Chamarel waterfalls.

Language used: English (official), iFrench, and the native language Mauritian Creole

Expenses: Mauritian Rupee (MUR).

Other things to note: It is said that it is good to rent a car that you will be able to use wherever you are going to visit, but there are many taxis that will pick you up directly from the hotel. Although Mauritius is considered a safe place, it is good to stay alert and keep your belongings close at all times. Don’t forget to buy a cool, sun-protective, and most importantly, bug-repellent spray.
