Bafana Bafana and Chicago Fire FC player from the United States of America (USA), Mbekezeli “TLB” Mbokazi, has been reprimanded for the habit that is the only thing that can stand between him and a bright future in the leagues that are considered hundreds of world football.

This warning was issued by the head coach of Bafana, Hugo Broos, when he spoke to the media following his home run for the first time since he took the job in 2021.

Bafana lost 2-1 to Panama at DHL Stadium, Cape Town, but Mbokazi scored one of the best goals in the history of this national team that is preparing for the World Cup that will start in less than 75 days in Mexico, Canada and the United States of America (USA).

Although Broos was disappointed after being knocked down by Panama on Tuesday night, he revealed a lot that he described as being happy with the way Mbokazi played.

“There was something I didn’t like about the game, but a lot of it answered a lot of questions I had in my head,” said Broos in a press conference.

The Belgian coach was asked about Mbokazi’s goal and how he played since he left him out of the first game played at Moses Mbhida Stadium, Durban.

“Mbokazi is known to be our stopper who doesn’t want anything but he is also a complete footballer as he showed with the goal he scored for us.

“He has all the experience needed for a player who can stand out in leagues that are considered to be hundreds in the world, but he has to fix his issue of getting lost easily.

“I agree that he is still young, but he should learn quickly that if things do not go as he wishes on the field, there is no need to lose heart because this is usually followed by bad things.

“I’m happy for him (Mbokazi) and his teammates he plays with in the past, but losing him is what I see that could cripple him or stand between him and contracts in leagues that are considered hundreds of in the world,” said Broos.

Mbokazi has one red card for Bafana, which he received because of it, when he faced Zimbabwe in a World Cup qualifier.
