MaZulu FC coach, Arthur Zwane, believes that anything can still happen with the third place in the Betway Premiership log, his team is still in the middle of the teams that are still calling to secure this place which is the gateway to play in the Caf Confederation Cup next season.

AmaZulu are in third place in the Premiership log with 39 points, separated by seven points from Kaizer Chiefs who are in third place with 46.

Apart from Chiefs and MaZulu, the other teams that still have a chance to fight for third place are Sekhukhune United and Durban City who are in fifth and sixth place respectively.

In the five remaining games for the Zulus this season, they will also play the Chiefs at home.

However, in the last three games, Usuthu came back with only two points, drawing with Sekhukhune United and Siwelele FC separately, before being beaten by Orlando Pirates 3-0 last Saturday.

They have a challenge to rise to the occasion with a home game against Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, today at 3 pm.

“Our goal as a team is to finish in fourth place but we see we still have a chance to finish in third place, we went to play in Africa (Caf Confed) because we are a team with big goals,” said Zwane.

“I believe that something can still happen, things happen in football, anything can still happen in the games that are still to be played. Kit is for us to work, to face what is in front of us and not worry about what others think of us,” said Zwane.

This coach does not want them to be discouraged by their defeat by Pirates last week, as he clearly states that he believes that his players will rise up and take it.

“We are a growing team, we can see the progress. We should not rush to think that because we have been among the big teams (in the log) that means we are up there too. No, we are still in our infancy. We should appreciate what we have achieved so far.”

Usuthu defeated Chilli Boys 3-0 in the first round of the season.
