There have been reports of African footballers who were selected to play in the World Cup, who are said to have wasted it by going to the beaches alone as they have not been looked at since the start of the quarter-final tournament in Mexico, Canada and the United States of America (USA).

Those close to the tournament told the media that the African referees have reported to Victor Gomes of South Africa, the head of the African referees in the World Cup, that they are not happy with their lack of games.

Because of this neglect, it appears that most of them are using this time to relax on the beaches of these countries since FIFA, which followed them to play, did not even look at them.

It is not clear whether these complaints include the representatives of South Africa, Abongile Tom and the assistant secretary, Zakhele Siwela.

Since the tournament started, Tom has never blown a whistle on the pitch. On the contrary, he has been in the position of fourth official (forth official) five times.

In all these games, Siwela is acting as a linebacker.

The games that Tom and Siwela worked on are Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia, Portugal and Uzbekistan, Portugal and Colombia and Germany and Curacao. All these games were held at NRG Stadium, Houston, USA, where they had been placed by Fifa.

The organization also moved Tom and Siwela from Houston to Toronto, Canada, where they both continued to be their performers. They did this in the Last 32 game which is a historic one that was won by Portugal in Croatia.

Since the competition is in the quarterfinals, Jalal Jayed from Morocco, Omar Amin from Egypt, Mustapha Ghorbal from Algeria and Dahane Beida from Mauritania are the only African players who have managed the games.

Jayed has managed three games since the start of the World Cup, and Amin and Ghorbal have played two. One managed by Beida.

Fifa is expected to announce on Monday which players will return home.
