Wilson B Nkosi will be celebrating 40 years of broadcasting

Wilson B Nkosi’s history of entering radio at the age of 19 will be revealed, a milestone that will be seen on SABC 2, which The Life and Times of Wilson B. Nkosifrom May 10, at 9.30 pm.

Wilson who started broadcasting on station iRadio Metro, now known as Metro FM in 1986, will reveal his journey at this milestone, as he was not only a broadcaster when opportunities arose but also a television presenter.

Speaking about this program, he said that people will see where he comes from, how he grew up, who are the people who helped him on his journey, and who encouraged him to enter radio.

“People through this program will know who I am, the SABC has played a big role in my life as I am the person I am now. Even now I am where I am, they continue to lead me, they have raised me and encouraged me as an organization. They have shown my talent in every way and they are still doing this. I am grateful to everyone who gave me the opportunity to continue working in radio,” he explained.

He said that not only people helped him to enter the radio but also the listeners played a big role in him becoming the person he is today.

“Thank you to the listeners who have been holding me by the arm for a long time, and some of them still listen to the programs I broadcast on this radio. I always say that I am a child of Metro FM, as I grew up on this radio. I spent a lot of time there, I spent many years there at SABC. I would like the youth to watch this milestone, as it will reveal the things I endured, my dedication and many more, which made me the person I am now,” he explained.

He said viewers will see how humble he is, as he grew up among humble people, which he did not change when he grew up.
