The expulsion of the so-called founders of the MKP party, Mr. Nhlamulo Ndhlela and the daughter of the leader of the party, Mr. Jacob Zuma, Mrs. Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, is going far. They went to court to oppose the move to guide them in this group, which was done in collaboration with Zuma.
They said that they will not be expelled from the party who were not present during the difficult times of its establishment.
“Where were they? We will not hear about the rebels who are now seizing power and who want to take us away from Zuma so they can do what they want. Even if they say we want power and positions, we will not stay close to Zuma,” said Ndhlale at a press conference yesterday in Gauteng.
He said they are still full members of the MKP and will not leave the party.
“We are not going anywhere in the MKP, we are stable. We cannot expel people who may not be full members of the MKP,” said Ndhla.
He said they respect Zuma’s decision to fire them and said that since the party was founded, it has never had an experienced Secretary General. Mrs Zuma-Sambudla said she has not yet sat down with her father to discuss the latest incidents of their eviction.
“I will meet him soon and talk to him. I don’t blame my father for betraying me, but I blame the leaders close to him. I criticize the people close to him,” he said.
They blamed leaders close to Zuma for trying to dissuade them from getting close to him.
“There are attempts by some to try to hijack MKP. We will not accept or let people play with the team, we will fight,” said Ndhla.
He said there are reports that the leaders including the vice president Tony Yengeni and other senior leaders are not full members of this group.
“That is why we say we will see what will happen because it is possible that we will be fired by people who are not full members of the party. Zuma is smart, soon we will see what can happen as he just looks at you and lets you stab yourself with your own, then he strikes,” continued Ndhla.
Last week, after a meeting of senior leaders in Gauteng, the general secretary, Mr. Sibonelo Nomvalo, read a statement that he said Zuma agrees with to expel them. Among the things that they were accused of, is the allegation that they took the late member of Parliament from this party, Mr. Muzi Ntshingila, and transferred him to another health center without informing his family.
They are also accused of being unruly, not following the rules and regulations that are required to be followed by members of the group. It was also lamented that the leadership has been tolerating the way they have been behaving in society and on social media for a very long time.
“Their behavior has caused many conflicts and disagreements in the party, and it clearly shows how much they ignore the leadership of this organization,” said the MKP statement.
Mrs. Ayanda Maseko, who had been in a relationship with Ntshingila for five years, denied what was said in the previous forum and said that Mrs. Zuma-Sambudla had been supporting her even when Ntshingila was ill. He said he even asked him to accompany him to the house where Ntshingila lived in Parliament to collect his belongings.
Ndhlale accused Nomvalo of many things, one of which is not understanding the party’s Constitution.
“We are being run by people who know nothing. How can I be blamed for the things that Duduzile wrote in his X? They are currently looking at the elections but there are not even MKP posters for the elections,” he said.
Nomvalo closed the chapter last week and said that he will no longer comment on the expulsion of these people from the group. It has become history that this group cooks and pours out the leaders as it shows them the way. Mrs. Zuma-Sambudla said that some of the MKP leadership were suggesting that she should be the one to sign the funds to Parliament as well as to the Electoral Commission, especially because they were fighting with Mr. Jabulani Khumalo, who registered the party with the Commission.
