Members of the Shembe church, on the Buhleni side, are protesting, following the appearance of ANC colored tents, which have been put up inside the KwaMaggibaqiba temple, KwaMaphumulo.

With the discovery ofOf this country two small tents were installed by the youth of this temple before the Saturday service.

Speaking toOf this country one of the displeased, Mr. Musawenkosi Ngidi said that it did not bother them to see the tents of the political party burned inside the holy place.

“An order was issued in Buhleni that no political party should be promoted, all parties should be equal. We were surprised to see ANC tents placed inside the temple,” said Ngidi.

He went on to say that what they found was that they were installed by young people who worship in this temple, but they did not get explanations of how this happened or with whose permission.

“When we called the pastor, we found out that he had no knowledge as he was not there. The evangelists as well as the preachers also said they knew nothing about this,” he said.

He said this confused the spirits as they knew that the temple is respected, it is not a place to promote political parties.

He even gave an example that he also has his own political party, and asked if it would be acceptable if he also brought his party’s tent to be erected inside the temple.

Iof the country it concerns Preacher Mhlongo, whose name was not available, he said it is not true that there are members of the temple who are unhappy with the installation of ANC tents.

“We know those people who are crying. They don’t worship in our temple. You saw a person who just pitched tents, came to stand outside, took pictures, and posted them on social media,” said Mhlongo.

He went on to say that the person knows him and he will talk to him face to face.

He then revealed that he was not there when the tents were put up, and said that he found out after a while that they were put up by youths who were worshiping in the temple, seeing that it might rain.

“I have heard about it, I called, and they said they removed it, they removed it,” said Mhlongo, who said he had no further comments to make other than what he had already explained.

The spokesperson of the Buhleni church, Mr. Thokozani Mncwabe could not be found. His calls were not answered.
