An accident between a taxi and a truck has claimed the lives of eight people on the N4 toll road between Ngodwana and Waterval Onder, Mpumalanga.
A taxi collided with a truck on Tuesday morning. One person was seriously injured.
The Department of Public Safety in the province says the accident happened between Ngodwana and Waterval Onder, near Waterval Boven. The road is closed and motorists are being diverted towards Schoemanskloof until the clean-up is complete.
The cause of the accident is still unclear and the investigation is ongoing.
