IF you thought that the end of the pandemic of the virus that destroyed a lot of people in this country, Covid-19, think again. This virus is said to still exist although it is not as prevalent as before.
This follows the revelation by the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Mr. Parks Tau, who revealed that he was infected with the virus. Tau is said to be at home where he is in self-isolation as per the order of the health authorities while the virus is still prevalent in the country.
His spokesperson, Mr. Kaamil Alli, said that Tau is in a good condition as he has covered himself. He urged those who have recently met Tau to go and get tested to make sure they are not infected with the virus.
The Chairman of the association of doctors, iSouth African Medical Association (SAMA), Dr Mvuyisi Mzukwa, said that those who thought the virus was gone, should think again because it is still there.
He said it gets stronger sometimes depending on the time of year.
“This virus is still there as Tau is infected. We are happy that he is in good condition and covered himself where he is. Health regulations say that you must cover yourself if you are found to be infected,” he said while talking to Newsroom Afrika.
The former Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize, announced in March 2020, that the virus has arrived in South Africa. There were 350,000 people affected by this virus in this country as it is known as Covid-19. While it was still popular, the country was closed, and nothing moved in the country.
Meanwhile: A joke on social media about Tau’s embarrassment has been answered. There are those who say that they do not believe that he is really trapped. Others said that the ANC is coming up with strategies to try to close the country, to protect people who are in the country illegally as there are campaigns to deport them as they have been set a deadline of June 30, so that they are no longer in the country.
These campaigns are led by people who are unhappy with immigrants and this deadline has become something that is talked about everywhere.
