The SOTSWEBHU of the ANC in Phalamen+de, Mr. Mdumiseni Ntuli, has denied that there is a confrontation with the General Secretary of the organization, Mr. Fikile Mbalula.

Ntuli, who was explaining to journalists yesterday, about the establishment of a committee to consider the removal of President Cyril Ramaphosa from office – on the issue of the availability of US dollars in his Phala Phala farm – said that they are working well with Mbalula.

He said there are decisions he takes and others he seeks advice from the organization’s headquarters, where he writes to Mbalula to talk to the organization’s officials.

“On the issue of the establishment of the committee, I wrote to Mbalula seeking advice on matters affecting the people who were supposed to represent the ANC in this committee. He agreed with the suggestions and suggested that amendments be made to something. There is no confrontation between me and Mbalula,” said Ntuli.

Ntuli confirmed what Mbalula said while talking to eNCA media, where he praised Ntuli for having experience, intelligence and denied that there is any disagreement between them.

Mbalula said they work well with Ntuli and said he was the one who hired him.

“Ntuli reports to me as his ’employer’. If he doesn’t follow the order, I can remove him from his position. There is no confrontation between us, we work well together,” said Mbalula.

Ntuli said he knew that the ANC would not include him as part of the committee because he is the head of elections in the organisation.

“I have been in Parliament for a while because I am busy with election work.”

He also pointed out that there was no GNU meeting before the formation of this committee. He also praised the chairman of the committee, Mr. Makashule Gana, for having experience.

“On the day the chairman of the committee was chosen, other parties met and had a caucus, the thing that was discussed was to close the ANC so that it does not represent the committee. The ANC was not invited to this meeting,” said Ntuli.

He said they nominated Ghana because his group, Rise Mzansi, is not part of the GNU.

“He is a person with experience and wisdom. Even if you disagree with him, he is a humble person,” said Ntuli.

He said he believed that they chose the right person to enter this position. He accused the MKP and the EFF of being in a relationship because they want to remove Ramaphosa from office.

“If Ramaphosa were to leave, there is nothing else to unite them. We know they are in a hurry to remove him with a vote of no confidence in his leadership since this committee has been established. We don’t know they are in a hurry because they would have waited for this committee plan and see how it will go,” he said.

He said they will protect Ramaphosa if there is a vote of no confidence in his leadership.

“We are waiting for them that if they put it to the vote, we will support Ramaphosa. The ANC caucus in Parliament supports the President,” he said.

In the case of the Minister of Social Development, Ms. Sisisi Tolashe who was dismissed, she said that they have not decided which committee they will assign her to as a Member of Parliament. Ms Tolashe has been given a special leave by the ANCWL, of which she is the president, to deal with the ANC’s disciplinary system.

On the issue of immigrants who are in the country illegally, he said policies must be created to prevent people from other countries from immigrating to the country.

“I don’t think that building a wall to stop the Mozambicans is the answer. The economy of these countries must be strengthened so that their people do not migrate to this country. A person from Zimbabwe who wants to work in the house should not come to this country that does not require experience. Even though the economic situation in this country is bad, there are few people from this country who go to Mozambique or Zimbabwe to look for work.”

He gave the example of Namibia, saying that not many people from there come to the country.
