If necessary, the military will be deployed to guard riots that may break out on the day of the deadline to deport illegal immigrants, June 30. It will cost the government R600 million, to deploy the police to monitor anything that may happen on this day.

The marchers have also been warned not to come armed with things such as sticks, clubs or batons that could harm others in these demonstrations. The warning was issued by the Acting Minister of Police, Professor Firoz Cachalia, after meeting with his colleague from the Ministry of Defence, Mrs. Angie Motshekga.

“There is no need for people who are protesting to carry anything that can be a weapon that can be used to harm others. Traditional weapons such as spears, sticks, sticks and hippopotamus are dangerous and can harm people. We will deploy soldiers if necessary as we prepare for June 30,” said Cachalia.

He said that this R600 million is outside their budget and said that this money could have been used for other programs.

Mrs. Motshekga, said this time they know what they are facing since 2021 was unexpected.

“We know now what we are facing, we also know the people who are organizing the protests. In 2021 we did not know who we were facing and now we are prepared. We do not expect the situation to escalate but if that happens the police will invite us because we cannot just intervene without being called,” he said.

He said they are working together as a team of ministers responsible for security as they get information about what is happening.

“The police have information about what is going to happen, and which routes the marchers will be taking. We talk to everyone, we even talk to the organizers of the march because we know them. Their complaints are heard because they are talking about things that affect people,” he said.

Cachalia said that people protesting must do this under the law. This is what the leaders of these marches spread across the country including Ngizwe Mchunu, Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and Phakel’umthakathi are saying, always preaching the gospel of peace and stressing that nothing bad will happen on June 30. They always point out that no one who backs down will be beaten.

“Those who break the law will be arrested. Our goal is to ensure security in the country. The important thing is that those who have broken the law are sent back to their countries,” said Cachalia.

He said they met with state prime ministers, state police commissioners and other agencies to prepare for anything.

He assured the public that they will be safe as they have the plans they have made. At the weekend, a delegation of security ministers met with the Zulu Palace, which was led by the Zulu Prime Minister, Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi. The aim was to persuade them to contribute to preaching the gospel of safety and tolerance when there are protests like this.

The Beast of the Churches Misizulu of Zwelithini preached the gospel and warned that people in South Africa should not be beaten illegally. The provinces that are being monitored by law enforcement agencies are KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Western Cape and Gauteng. There are 170 police stations across the country that are considered to be on alert for possible violence. Every day there is intelligence information being received by the police in preparation for June 30.
