A taxi driver was shot dead outside the house where he lived in Zwelisha, Thursday evening.
Members of the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) rushed to the scene at around 19:23 following reports of shooting.
When they arrived, they interviewed the deceased’s sister who revealed that her 28-year-old brother had returned and parked his car where he lives.
He says he heard several gunshots after he got out of the car. The villagers rushed outside and found an injured man lying on his back next to the neighbor’s telephone.
He had a gunshot wound to the face. One (1) spent cartridge and one (1) live round (photo 2) were found at the scene. The cause of the killing was not yet known and no information was available about the suspects.
