IF you want to take a vacation to a cool, windy place and enjoy the beauty of nature, animals and culture, don’t leave places with wildlife on your travel list. Africa is well known for having all kinds of wild animals, species of birds, trees and special plants, which is why tourists from abroad are interested in visiting places like nature reserves and national parks to see for themselves the beauty of Africa. As May is the month to highlight the continent of Africa, we present to you the best wildlife spots that are popular with tourists coming to Africa.

ISerengeti National Park it is in northern Tanzania, from the Kenyan border to Lake Victoria. It was identified as a World Heritage Site because it dominates the Big Five because of its abundance. It is said to have 4,000 lions, 1,000 tigers, 550 cheetahs and about 500 bird species in an area of 15,000 square kilometers.

The best times to visit this place: between December and March. If you visit the South and East side, you will see the beauty of nature in its abundance. The Serengeti doesn’t want someone who is in a hurry because you have to be comfortable, have a tight budget, book a whole week to sell yourself because this place is so big that you can only stay two days in it. Accommodation starts at R3 557 including tent and breakfast. There are different lodgings, tents, lodges, and chalets, all depending on your budget and how comfortable you want to be.

It is easy to get to this park, as it starts in Arusha, you can take a flight that will drop you off at the park’s airports (like Seronera) or take a scenic, scenic drive in a 4WD from Ngorongoro.

ISabi Sand Private Game Reserve It is the flagship of South Africa, it is an area of 65,000 hectares bordering the Kruger National Park. It is famous for the large number of animals known as the Big Five that roam freely as there is no fence to keep the animals together. What makes tourists like it the most is that you can see animals like tigers, lions and elephants up close whenever you take a Game Drive. There are three entrance gates to this area as there are Shaw’s Gate, Newington Gate, and Gowrie Gate.

Best time to visit: Between May and October because it is hot the animals come out to be seen. The easiest way to get there is to take a flight from Johannesburg to Skukuza Airport and take a car to take you directly to Sabi Sand. This place has a classy beauty with accommodations, mouth-watering food and service by top quality staff.

I-Maasai Mara National Reserve is a 1.510km wildlife sanctuary in south-west Kenya. Famous for wildebeest migration and the Big Five. This place is very popular with people who are interested in learning about different cultures, since the Maasai often have different programs that include music and dances that highlight their culture, to entertain tourists. The best time to visit is between July and October, in the dry summer, when the animals are at their best. Accommodations vary according to your budget, from tents, lodges and houses suitable for quotes left. You can also book somewhere else and visit here to see the animals only, that happens easily and also depends on your pocket as traveling by car to see the wild animals starts from US$ 850 to US$ 1050.

I-Okavango Delta it needs you to plan it carefully because of its distance from the big city of Botswana. The important thing to understand is that it is best to book from July to October to see the wildlife in full, pack your luggage well between 15-20 kg. Another thing you need to prepare is to have enough money to pay for all the expenses you will face in the future, such as entrance fees to certain places that are paid when you arrive at the gate, and other entertainment. Accommodations in the Okavango Delta are divided into three categories, there are in the water, built in the dry area and mixed areas surrounded by water. It’s usually a good idea to book the water lodges to get something different from what you’re used to and the hybrids that often cater to tourists.

There is a direct flight from OR Tambo that takes you to Maun International Airport in Botswana, and then you take a road trip towards the Okavango Delta.
