ABOPHELE is the first film produced in Mzansi to be screened on the iMovie Room channel. This channel, which is also not in this country, has been showing only foreign films since its inception.

The Movie Room on DStv (Channel 113), announced the news that the film iThuli’s Clothwill record the distance this station has traveled since this is one of the ways to show that it is growing day by day.

They said that they believe that it is not the first and the last that they will show in this country, as they plan to grow in showing local films.

They say that in the film that was filmed, actors including Lindani Nkosi, Linda Sokhulu, Rorisang Mohapi, Vuyo Biyela, Mbalenhle Mavimbela, Slindile Nodangala, Magic Hlatshwayo and others were arrested.

They pointed out that it highlights polygamy and the things that happen to it such as leading a household, separated families and how they live, not having children and losing dignity due to things that happen in life.

One of the founders of this channel, Thokozani Nkosi, stated that presenting this film is important and the distance they will go as a channel to promote films that tell different stories happening in communities in Africa.

“We have seen the enthusiasm shown by people when we take foreign films and translate them so that they speak our languages. People have been very happy with this. We realized that the time has come for us to make our own films that speak our languages ​​and show the cultures we have, which we have no doubt will be greatly enjoyed,” said Thokozani.

He also said that as a channel, they will contribute to the growth of the country’s economy by making films of this type, and they will grow this industry by creating job opportunities.

Soon they said that they will announce the date on which they will present the film as well as when it will be shown.
