THE body of the leader of the Zion church will be exhumed and reburied, iChristian Catholic Holy Spirit in ZionNyonini, Dr Thamsanqa Nkonyane who passed away a few weeks ago.

It will be remembered that the issue of his burial was in the headlines after his service that was going on at the site of this church in Newcastle was stopped.

It is now history that near the end of this service the police raided accompanied by the deceased’s old wife MaNgcobo who was carrying a restraining order.

That’s how the funeral stopped and we left with bones when MaNgcobo and the family of the deceased found out that no body could be seen in the coffin but there were stones.

This caused a lot of noise with the Nkonyane saying that they are taking the matter to court because they believe that something is wrong.

They pointed at the maid, Mrs Siveni Mazibuko (MaKhuzwayo), they say that he is the one who hatched this stone plot in collaboration with Cebolethu.

The deceased’s sister, Ms. Sibongile Nkonyana, stated that they will not be able to rest until the truth comes out.

After a few days Nkonyane’s grave was found behind the church building Nkonyane’s grave.

His family assures you that they get it. On the other hand, when Ma Khuzwayo was asked where the grave was, he said that he will not even talk about the matter in court.

Yesterday the High Court of Pietermaritzburg ruled that MaNgcobo’s body must be exhumed and then buried because he has the full right to do so. It also issued an order that Ma Khuzwayo, who was not in court, must go with the police and show them where the body of the deceased was buried.

MaNgcobo’s lawyer, Ntokozo Mkhabela said they were very happy with the court’s decision in favor of his client. He said he could see clearly that MaNgcobo was looking for a solution as soon as possible.

“It’s nice that the court finally helped him get the justice he needed,” he said.

He said that it will still be difficult as he believes that it will not be easy for the family of the deceased when they watch the body being exhumed.

The court brought forward Cebolethu and said that it is not involved in this matter, but this is an issue between the family and the concubine.

Cebolethu’s lawyer, Menzisi Ngxongo, said they were happy that the court had exempted them from speaking.

He said they were not shocked because they had said from the beginning that the family was the one who buried them in the way they liked. Nkonyane and the concubine could not be reached for comment on this matter.
