It has been observed that this year’s annual Hollywoodbets Durban July horse racing competition has created thousands of temporary job opportunities for the youth and different people of KwaZulu-Natal.

One of the ways in which job opportunities will be created is the splendor of The Ascots tent, and there are already plans to continue building programs to help create job opportunities in the field of entertainment in Durban.

This tent, which will be the first to come to this competition this year, and which is managed by the company Aline Media Group, has already included large sums of money intended to be invested in different entertainment events.

The businessmen who participated in this program, Mr. Sipho Dlamini and Mr. Sibo Mhlungu, said that this program is more than just entertainment at this event, but they intend to continue to promote Thekwini, and restore its reputation in entertainment, until it reaches the level of Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Dlamini said: “We didn’t come here to Durban to highlight our beauty, but we came to build in this city because we believe that Durban is a place and center to build the economy and promote and develop people and entrepreneurs.”

Mhlungu said: “I have noticed many times what happens when the city realizes that the economy of artists and arts is important, so Durban is a place that we feel should achieve that by contributing to ensure that from now on.”

They said that one of the things that pushed them to carry out this idea is to see the high level of young people who are unemployed, and they believe that this event is a good start to rectify that situation as it is expected that around 500 to 1,000 temporary job opportunities will be created this weekend, including security guards, cooks, decorators, accommodation workers and others related to that.

“We are looking forward to participating in helping the young people of this country while introducing and making it fashionable to improve the entertainment industry, which we expect to continue even after Durban July,” said Dlamini.
