IT SPEAKS about the gift that is life and the different problems that many people go through in life as they get older, a song that has been liked by many on social media by Siya Ntuli and Khuzani Mpungose.
The song IMy healthcame out on Friday, with Siya revealing that it carries a deep history of Zulu issues, about cultural pride.
He said he chose to do it with Khuzani as he wanted it to have a maskandi rhythm.
“This is a song that holds the direction of where a person really comes from and where they are going. It focuses on the difficulties, lessons, and obstacles that each person goes through as we grow up trying to live. It talks about patience and being honest about the feelings that each person has about what they have gone through. The song is about looking back but don’t be moved anymore as it talks about patience, the power to look forward in life, to forget the past no matter how difficult it was,” said Siya.
He said that Khuzani’s presence in this song brings value, reaching a high level of masked music, as they are able to make songs together when they are making different music.
“My music rhythm is different, it’s modern music that makes the song be heard quickly by different people and they enjoy it. So meeting Khuzani makes it a song with the rhythm of the music that was established long ago and the current one that we are doing and it comes together. He has revived me as the music of the music means a lot to our people in Zulu and these days it can be said that we are showing off,” he explained.
For them, he said, it’s not just about making music, but telling stories about different things that remind them of where they came from.
With this song, he said he respects the culture of the nation he was born in and he is talking to new people who have just arrived in the role of skandi and their fans.
