A woman from H, in Mlaza, who says she is hiding because she is afraid that her husband might turn her into a monster again as he tried to shoot her, but he stabbed her again with scissors in her private part, is being pushed.
Ms Wendy Zondi (36) from H, Mlaza, burst into tears when she explained about her injuries which she said happened months ago.
She said her husband, Mr. Kagiso Ndimande (38) came to the house in the afternoon and they had an argument and he said he did not understand what was causing it, she said that her husband came home “eating ampojwana” and complained that he does not like being treated badly by someone he is married to.
Mrs. Ndimande said that when she asked him what was going on but he did not answer, rather he repeated the words that he did not like being treated badly.
Continuing, she said that her husband then went towards her sitting on the sofa and started slapping her, she said that while she was surprised he just pulled out his gun and hit her on the back and head.
He said he continued to beat him until he shot but he did not answer when he asked him what happened and what did he do to apologize, he said he did not hear the machine, he took him to their room where he undressed him downstairs and took off his pants.
”At that time, I was thinking that he will soften, maybe he wants to do room service and I didn’t ask, the person wants to do a lot to me,” he explained.
She said her husband then took her close to her and placed her on the head of the bed of the person who will do the service as he also took off his pants.
“In my mind I tell myself that we are having sex,” he explained.
He said he heard her shouting and saying that she will not even sleep with him because he bores her and has a bad smell.
“After that, he took a pair of scissors and cut me under,'” she explained.
Right there, she said she continued to ask him what he did but she didn’t get an answer, instead she said her husband had turned into an animal as he clearly saw that she meant to eat him raw and that he meant to finish her completely.
He said that there was a time when he beat him and dragged him down the house, and he was badly injured on his back and arms as well. He revealed that he was finally able to leave the house and run to seek help.
At the moment she is hiding because she can clearly see that if her husband meets her, he can finish her off.
“Because of this situation, I thought it would be better to move from our house to another place because I fear for my life,” she said.
She said she reported the matter to the police and her husband was arrested and appeared in court but he is currently out on bail.
”You see since he is out on bail I am very scared because I don’t know what he thinks of me. To be honest, I don’t feel safe at all,” he explained.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Lieutenant Paul Magwaza, confirmed that a man was arrested by the police after he tried to kill a 36-year-old woman. He said the woman was seriously injured.
”The woman was injured, the suspect has appeared at the Mlaza Magistrate’s Court,” he said.
