Sergeant Fannie Nkosi is expected to appear before the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s court on Friday, 15 May 2026.

It is suspected that on November 10, a suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana, illegal firearms and explosives. The investigation indicates that Sgt Nkosi came and collected the docket of the first case pretending to have been sent by the police headquarters.

After a few months, he is said to have returned to Thohoyandou, identified himself as a colonel from the main office and brought out the marijuana that had been seized from the police evidence.

Although the evidence was booked in the main one, later it was discovered that there was a missing bag of marijuana.

A case was opened for obstruction of justice.
