THEY are determined to do things by force even if they are reprimanded by senior officials at the SABC, as the issue of non-payment of actors and staff of the show Pimville, which has been in existence for months, is intensifying.

It was told through its source that uLala Tuku with colleagues Nirvana Singh and Reatlegile “Ree” Mampa It is said that they have been suspended from work while the investigation continues for continuing to give Bakwena Production company the right to film the show even though the history of this company is not good.

The source said that senior officials repeatedly asked why they had signed a multi-million dollar agreement with this company despite negative reports about it.

“They stated that they did this because they wanted to give the company another chance. But this angered their senior officials because it was seen as one of the ways to ignore the financial issue even though the SABC was still trying to collect funds, as it was facing a bad financial situation. When this news came out, since the company was given all the money, it was said that what they are doing is wrong, they should be suspended from their jobs until the investigation that has started internally,” said the source.

He said that the current officials do not even know what decision to make, in terms of ending this game forever, adding another company or finding another company to continue with it.

“Currently, it is not clear what decision should be taken by the management as some want to end this game, but different methods are still being considered in order to reach the right decision,” explained the source.

In a statement issued by the SABC, it stated that it will not expand or disclose the agreements it had with the company, but it is currently looking at ways, one of which is to take the company to court as they are paying all its money.

Kagiso Modupe, who is the owner of this company, revealed that he has nothing to do with the embezzlement of funds as he gave his colleagues the power to produce the game and they ended up making him the director.

“I, as the manager of the company Bakwena Productions Media House, agreed with Brenda Mukwevho, who is in the acting industry, that we will work together to make this kind of game, as she is the founder of it. But when the contracts were signed and we started working, there were things that did not go as planned, and when I revealed them, I was told not to come in half-heartedly, to face my work as I am not a producer but I am a manager of directors,” said Kagiso.
