The security agencies in this country should be alert to any attempts to create chaos in the country as there is a deadline of June 30, for there to be no more people from other countries who have fled the country.
President Cyril Ramaphosa, has warned those planning to create a union that the law enforcement will not let us down. he said that on this day people will be going about their lives as usual as the situation is closely monitored.
“The security agencies will deal with all the things that can cause unrest through marches to destroy those who have escaped. Next Tuesday is a normal day, we do not want any disruption to businesses as well as people. We warn those who want to cause trouble that the law enforcement will be monitoring the situation. This is not a country that hates immigrants, discriminates as well as ethnically,” he said yesterday while answering questions at the House of Provincial Council in Parliament.
He also warned immigrants to respect the laws of the country.
“Every person in this country must respect the laws of the country. No one has the right to punish people. Everything must be done by law enforcement because no one has the right to stop a person who they suspect is not from this country, and demand their ID,” said Ramaphosa.
He said that a large number of people from other countries have turned their backs on the country and said that the issue of people in the country illegally must be dealt with peacefully. He urged leaders to preach the gospel of peace wherever they speak.
“We are all leaders, we are not spectators. We have a responsibility to preach the gospel of peace in the country at this time.”
He also congratulated the Bafana Bafana team, who advanced to the 32-nation stage of the World Cup after beating South Korea, with a single goal early yesterday morning. Ramaphosa, who arrived wearing a Bafana jersey, apologized to members of the House and said he did not wear a suit because of the national team’s victory.
“History was made with the victory of the national team and it went to the next stage.”
