THE religious singers who will perform at the event have been ANNOUNCED i-Offramp Experience, which is one of the biggest jazz events, Ugu Jazz Festival, which will be held at the Ugu Sports & Leisure Centre, Port Shepstone next month.

The organizers of this event revealed the news that they have planned a series of events that will start with a gala dinner that will be accompanied by a comedy event at the same venue on June 25, and others will follow.

In this event, the Worship Experience will be prayed for, which will be held on June 26, and the artists who will perform there include Nontokozo Mkhize, Mpumi Mtsweni, Sgwili, Mthokozisi Nkosi, Nkanyiso, Shongwe and Khuphuka, Jumbo, Malusi Mbokazi and pastors.

The main event of the Gu Jazz Festival will be held on June 27.

This event, which returned last year with several programs, this year its organizers promised to return with a higher gear than usual after years of absence.

Siya Msomi of the Coolsounds Trading company, who is organizing this event in collaboration with the Ugu Municipality, revealed that they have already started the Offramp Experience, and will continue to hold events before the Ugu, which include prayers, mountain climbing, seeing tourist spots, accommodation ceremony and others.

He said that what they want to do is to establish an event that is not only about music but they want to make it different and full of fun and highlight the different traditions that they have in the Coast area..

“We want to contribute to the development of the economy of the towns in our area. The artists, when we contacted them about these events, all showed their interest, including sponsors and people who want to be a part of these events. We have a lot in store for those who will enjoy the event,” he said.

He said that Mondli Ngcobo and Zawadi Yamungu will entertain at the gala dinner, and comedians including Simphiwe Shembe, Simunye Churchboy, Mondli Mzizi and Nonto R will crack jokes.

Don Laka, Siphokazi, Ernie Smith, Naledi Aphiwe, Mnqobi Yazo, Mawelele, Danya, Bongani Nkwanyana, Olefied Khetha, DJ 101, DJ Muntu Jikeleza, Fanie Dick, Tender Mavundla, DJ Mshedi will perform at the jazz event.

Tickets for this event are available at Spar, Pick n Pay, Boxer and Ticketpro from R200 and R250.
