The police in Gauteng are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after a shooting in Sesdelaan in Alexandra, Johannesburg, in the early hours of Saturday during which one person died and six others were injured.
Col. Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, police spokesperson, says that two people allegedly had an altercation on the street, when one of them pulled out a firearm and started shooting randomly.
A total of seven people sustained injuries and were taken to a local clinic for the necessary medical care. One person was pronounced dead on arrival.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation in locating the suspect is urged to call Stop Crime on 08600 10111 or alternatively report anonymous tips on the MySAPS app.
