Milford FC defender, Sifiso “Chicco” Mdluli, sees the two PSL Promotion Play-Offs they will play at home as the ones that will determine their goal of moving up to the Betway Premiership.

Milford got off to a good start in the qualifiers defeating Cape Town City 1-0 last Tuesday, at Athlone Stadium, Cape Town.

They will play against Magesi FC on Wednesday at 3 pm, at Mhlathuze Sports Complex, Richards Bay, and they will play the second round against City on Saturday, in Mhlathuze.

They will wrap up their away match against Magesi on June 13 at the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane.

Magesi also come to Wednesday’s match against Milford and after coming back with three points they beat City 2-0 on Saturday at Seshego Stadium, Polokwane.

Magesi is currently in the lead due to the difference in goals between them and Milford even though they are tied on three points.

“It was very important for us to win our first game, and it really happened as we had planned, coming back with a win in Cape Town on Tuesday in Cape Town.

“Therefore, the two games we will play at home on Wednesday and Saturday, in my opinion, will be the ones that will clarify our intentions to go up to the Betway Premiership.

“We need three points in this game no matter what because our draw will not help us because Magesi is currently higher than us due to the difference in goals,” said Mdluli who plays on the left side.

“We know we are going to face Magesi who are very weak as they beat Cape Town City 2-0 but we know what to expect from them because we watched them play and we don’t believe they will make any changes in the game they will play against us on Wednesday.

“Our playing at home for two games should definitely be used to collect points so that we can go to the final game on June 13 without any more pressure.”

The Stallions and The Citizens who finished third and second in the Motsepe Foundation Championship log last season, are fighting to move up to the Premiership with Magesi FC fighting to stay in this division as they finished 15th in the log and narrowly escaped being axed as Orbit College was axed.

However, being beaten in two games by The Citizens is reducing their chances of being promoted to the Premiership.
