It likes to be more alarming about the horrific incidents that are reported by men who kill women or seriously injure them.

This leaves questions about what can be done in order to stop this scourge that makes women constantly afraid to try or sleep in the birds because of the yawning of the cannon every day.

Recently, Solezwe reported extensively on the case of a man from Mazenzeni, Mayville, who is said to have shot a woman (also Mpumelelo “Mlungu”) Gumede who was in love with him. We do not know the reason that led the man to finally take the decision to shoot and kill the woman.

But what happened was that the man came to the girl’s house without asking her, he just opened fire at the woman and ended up on the spot.

Friends and relatives are left in awe, asking each other what happened, but even today they still haven’t found the answers to the root of the matter.

It is still being questioned that in Cato Crest a woman was also killed with 20 bullets, Thembeka Ngcongo who was a member of the EFF, who was useful to the community as she had a laundry where taxi drivers wash their clothes. MaNgcongo was killed while she was pregnant.

Apart from these ladies, there are many shocking cases of murder of women that have happened in Mayville. A woman was killed (Mthabiseng) who was kidnapped by her boyfriend near a place called Village. Then came Nondumiso Dlamini who was raped and killed and thrown into the Bellair forest

It is clear that the community organizations that will cooperate with the police of Cato Manor and Mayville Police Station should be renewed. Otherwise women will always be victims.
