NKKAKA, a broadcaster who is also a DJ, uThato Sikwane, popularly known as DJ Fresh, revealed that he welcomes with both hands the opportunity to broadcast the morning show on Kaya 959 radio.

This follows that last week, Sizwe Dhlomo, who was broadcasting the morning program on this radio, suddenly resigned.

DJ Fresh on this radio will start to be heard on July 1, he said that broadcasting the morning show will always be a good thing for him as it allows him to be part of the different families that listen to him.

“This radio station has become something extraordinary, since it has grown so big, it has fans who listen to it every day, most of them based in Gauteng. I am looking forward to being a part of the morning show and connecting with the listeners and our new relationship. I promise them fun alone, love, different knowledge that they will give me and so I will give them what I have and know and bring them things that will encourage them every day,” said Fresh.

He said that for him, being a part of this radio means working again with Mpho Maboi, who focuses on sports, and last collaborated with him on the radio program 20 years ago.

“It is exciting to meet my colleagues. I will meet with Mpho Maboi and Thato, the three of us who have worked together on the radio, history will repeat itself as I will be working with them again. To me, you can say that we will meet at home and the listeners of this radio will start their day in a special way if they listen to it. I want the listeners to get everything they need, be inspired and get closer to us in a different way they have never heard,” he said.

Although Sizwe Dhlomo’s contract with the radio station was ending this month, he ended it on Friday.

In the statement he issued, Sizwe revealed that there is nothing bad that separated him from this radio station.

He stated that he is not a person who likes to stay in one place for a long time and it has been a year since he decided to leave it at any time.
