The DESIRE of people to get in-depth knowledge of what methods and techniques they can use to eat in a healthy way, based on useful articles for such advice – gave birth to a healthy food business that is useful to Ms. Sinenhlanhla Mbambo.

This lady from Scotland, KwaNyuswa, west of Durban, says that she cares about seeing people live in a healthy way, makes her use her knowledge of food studies to help with useful strategies on social media.

That’s how Something Nutritious was born in 2024, a business that makes different foods that are infused in a healthy way, and infused in a way that makes each and every customer who buys it eat it for a long time without spoiling.

“I was also helped by the fact that I already have a degree in the field of food science, which made it easy to know which is the right and proper way to infuse food in a way that will make our customers healthy and not harmful to them,” he said.

Continuing, he said that in their food product they have different types of food every week, which is lunch and dinner which costs from R1 050 to R1 650 – depending on how much food the customer needs and how many people it is suitable for.

“At the moment we are working mainly around KwaNyuswa and Botha’s Hill, and it is also possible that we have found other clients in Durban and its surroundings, even as far as Ballito where we are still keeping because we do not want to overwhelm ourselves with the amount of work that we cannot handle,” said Ms Mbambo.

This lady, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences and Honors in Life Sciences from UKZN, lamented that although it continues, there is also the challenge of lack of customers, and that currently a lot of money is working to develop the business.

“However, we are looking to continue to build on what we have now to help our product be available in supermarkets, and we can also expand to other areas through different branches in other areas,” he said.
