A SINGER who sings of the famous song Keep going LordLungelo Hlongwane, revealed that he has been tempted by saying that he will not get quick wealth.
“There are many difficulties that I have encountered, I only have Jesus who is not mixed with anything. Trust me when I say that there were times when I was tempted and told me to take quick ways towards success, but my faith and hope have never strayed from God. I have always seen him as my Lord and he alone. All I am waiting for is his time and I leave everything to him.”
Lungelo said he has seen and heard a lot with his ears.
“As if when I talk about it, there are families who run out of food. And dignity can be lost in society. There can be noise and talk that can last for years, but I am not like that.”
He said that he was going to open his mouth but was stopped by the words of his grandfather, who said that he should not chew another man’s bone. Continuing, Lungelo said there are secrets he is sitting on because he has to protect certain people “who didn’t care about me when I wasn’t going well. There are a lot of things I said that are secrets, some people think that I don’t know or no one knows. I know a lot that is so deep that if I were to open my mouth, I am sure that I can break through the clouds.”
He said that despite that, he prefers peace and singing to himself.
“Sometimes other people must know the bad and painful things they did to you. They know that what they did did not finish me, but rather left me with a scar and left me with a lesson.”
He said those who think he is still a child, beat him to the ground because he will do anything to protect his family. Although Lungelo didn’t call anyone by name, the singer he was spat with, Jumbo, urged him not to go on the iguma.
“If you talk to Lungelo Hlongwane, people will stop thinking that you are being harassed by me and people are tagging me too much. It’s not fun to watch you talk until you say that people can kill you. You will talk, we know what breaks the spirit, no one will be abused here in South Africa. Talk to people and help you if there is a problem, people will see us as people who don’t care if we keep quiet and say a lot. Talk man, I don’t want you,” said Jumbo.
He urged people to intervene because no one will live with so many secrets. Lungelo said he is not talking about Jumbo and if he had a problem with Jumbo he would have let him know.
