THE COACH of Stellenbosch FC, Gavin Hunt, reveals that it is about to appear on the field for the defender, Olisah Ndah, who has not yet played for the team he joined in February from Orlando Pirates.

Ndah (28), who plays in the center back, left the Pirates where he had played for four seasons. He came to Mzansi in the 2021/2022 season to this Soweto team from Akwa United of Nigeria.

In the Stellies, he joined Tshegofatso Mabasa who has been loaned to the Blacks in this Stellenbosch club until the end of the season.

Stellebosch drew 1-1 with Lamontville Golden Arrows in the Betway Premiership match on Wednesday at King Zwelithini Stadium, Mlaza.

“There is no problem with Olisah, it’s just that he came to us when he last played. So he wasn’t strong enough yet. But he is working hard to get a place in the team like the players who play in his place Moloisana (Thabo) and Lebusa (Mosa). Soon you will be seen, maybe on Saturday,” Hunt said in short.

Ndah is fighting for the jersey with Moloisana, Lebusa, Athenkosi Mcaba, Henri Stanic, and Siviwe Nkwali on the back wall in the center.

Stellenbosch is without a goal in the last six games, drawing three of them. It is tenth in the Premiership log with 25 points from 21 games.

“We shouldn’t be in the position we are in but because of our dropping points we find ourselves in the position we are in. IThere are still many games, I say there are nine if I am not mistaken. There is still a lot of work to do but we still have a chance to get points and finish in a better place on the log at the end of the season,” continued Hunt who wanted the team to avoid the ax taking over from Steve Barker at the end of December.

Stellies will face Chippa United on Saturday at 3.30 pm at Athlone Stadium, Cape Town.
