THE family of a man from Mambedwini, KwaMaphumulo, who was shot naked while sleeping in his girlfriend’s house in Clare Estate, Sydenham, last week admits to drug possession.
The late Mr Goodman Mbhele (26) It is a country found out that he was shot dead while sitting with his girlfriend Ms. Zinhle Shezi.
It turned out that on Thursday night 8 men stormed the house and forced the woman to come out the door because they wanted to “confront the man”.
After that, it is said that the woman heard a cannon exploding incessantly inside the house and she also read hers that it was damaged.
It is said that the deceased was shot naked as the killers came while he was sleeping naked with his girlfriend.
“They shot him naked and it seemed that they really intended to kill the players the way they shot him,” explained the source.
The deceased’s brother, Mr. Sfiso Mkhwanazi, said It is a country that they were surprised by the way his brother was brutally killed.
He stated that they are very hurt by what happened to them unexpectedly as a family. “It was very sad what happened to my brother. The way they killed him showed that they were very cruel. I don’t know what he did, but they shouldn’t have killed him the way they did,” he said.
He said that when he arrived at the scene of the incident, the girl seemed to be very shocked and it was clear that she still did not believe what she had just seen with her own eyes.
Although he was saddened by the brutal killing of his brother, he said he would not deny that he was involved in drug dealing.
He stated that others said that the police came and shot him. If so, he asks why he didn’t take him and arrest him instead of brutally killing him.
”We as his family will not say that he was not doing anything wrong because we would be lying if we did not say so. But what we are complaining about is that he was killed in such a brutal way,” he said.
Continuing, he said that whenever a person commits a crime, the police must arrest him and not talk about killing him.
“A person should be arrested to punish and go to jail for his crimes, not that there will be people who will punish themselves and take out the body just like that,” he said, sounding that he is very worried.
He said they will do everything they can to ensure that justice is served for the brutal killing of his brother.
He revealed that they once sat down with the deceased and deliberated extensively on the issue of whether he should give up drugs, as if he was a hearing person.
He said the biggest problem is that since his brother lost his job in 2020, he has not found another one.
“He wanted to get out of drugs, you could see that if he got a job he could easily get out of it,” he said.
The KwaZulu-Natal police did not respond to this issue until press time.
