RECOMMENDING people who admire the beauty of his work, and who are encouraged by the way he seems to stand for what he wants and desires, has encouraged actor Shine Madela to strive to raise the level in the area he acts inHomecoming.

Shine from Wyebank, west of Durban, is one of the prominent actors in this show which is shown on Mzansi Wethu Monday to Friday at 6:30 pm, where he plays the role of Mabuyi MaNkwanyana Kubeka.

Talking about this place, she said that it was a big challenge to portray it as she is a married woman and lives in a rural area, which required her to work twice as much to do justice to it especially because it is very different from what it really is in real life.

“I grew up in the township and I’m single, I just don’t have a child yet, which requires me to take more trouble to find out how a married person is expected to behave, especially since the game started when I was pregnant.

“I just remember that I asked a lot of things from my mother and aunts to make sure that I don’t do the wrong thing, I was also helped a lot by the praise of people who admired the beauty of the way I act,” said Shine.

Continuing, he said that although the place he plays is not at all similar to the person he is, he is happy to be praised by people who praise him, especially because it is the first and most important place he plays in the play.

“Although everything MaNkwanyana does in the game is not good, I am happy because she encourages women – especially those who are in stressful situations like her – not to die inside, but to express their anger in the way they feel, because there are many women who are depressed like her in life,” he said.

He also thanked his colleagues in the show, which is filmed by Tshedza Pictures, especially those he usually works with – including Thembinkosi Mthembu (Sifiso Kubheka), Mpume Nyamane (Dr Zethu Hlongwane), Nozipho Ndlovu (Nomalanga) just to name a few.

Before acting onHomecomingShine has played short roles in the games he has starred in The Seed: The Seed, My Friend, I won it isDurban Gen.

“We are currently in the final stages of filming the second season of this show, which will start soon and we hope it will continue to entertain and teach people important things. Apart from that, I wish to grow in this role and find other opportunities like this,” said Shine.
