Zimbabwean man Sondana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, who was wanted in the UK for murdering his 42-year-old wife and his two daughters, aged 15 and five, has been arrested in Kensington, Johannesburg. British authorities released CCTV footage of him at Heathrow Airport following the death of his family.
It is said that this man (42) was arrested just as he was planning to kill himself. It is said that he had booked a hotel in Gauteng but went to visit his family in Kensington, Johannesburg. According to sources, the family did not know that they wanted the police in the UK.
National police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe confirmed the arrest of Mkhanyisi Tshuma, aged 45, who fled to the UK, by the SAPS Organized Crime Unit and Interpol in Kensington, Johannesburg. It is said that Tshuma fled the United Kingdom after the death of his wife and two children. Mathe says, “South Africa is not a place for refugees to hide.”
