The president of Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), Mr. Velenkosini Hlabisa, and the Chairman of the KwaZulu-Natal party, Mr. Thamsanqa Ntuli, officially introduced Dr. Bongani Mncwango who was the general secretary of Mkhonto we Sizwe Party (MKP) today in Durban.

Mncwango who was dismissed last month from his position in the MK Party has been officially replaced by the leader of the IFP, Mr. Velenkosini Hlabisa.

IFP leader Mr. Hlabisa explained what happened today as follows; “Today marks an important moment for the Nkatha Freedom Party as we officially welcome Dr Bongani Mncwango, the former Secretary General of the Mkhonto we Sizwe party to the IFP family. Dr Mncwango brings with him a wealth of leadership experience in both the private and public sectors. His distinguished career includes serving as CEO of Sanlam Healthcare, CEO of Netcare 911, and managing director of Bonitas Medical Fund Administration. His skills and strategic understanding will greatly strengthen IFP as we intensify our campaign ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections.”

On the 12th at the latest, another announcement of MK Party members who will join the IFP is expected.
