“THE time we are in now and the conditions faced by many people every day make some people struggle to cope with the cost of living, which requires that there be plans to help them and advise them with strategies and ways to avoid that.”

Mrs. Gugu Zikhali, the head of Stokvel Group Investment For FNB Cash Investment, which is a division of this bank that is responsible for helping banking customers of this bank to put or invest money through a system of stocks that are useful to them.

Narrating his daily work, he said that it is to advise the customers of their bank to understand the different programs to help them invest, and to see them how they should do it so that there is no noise and chaos that could disturb them.

“People are very sensitive about their money and they don’t want anything that will interfere with it in any way, so it is my job to make sure that there are no such challenges, so we started this program so that our customers can put money in a way that is safe for them and that will make everything go in the right direction,” he said.

“One of my tasks is to research and observe how the markets are moving so that I can help our customers understand what is expected of them, so that when they start investing, they can follow the right strategies and procedures,” he said.

Before joining FNB two years ago, Mrs. Zikhali worked for various private companies including the world famous clothing company Nike, where she started working in its marketing department more than 20 years ago.

“The thing that makes me happy about my job is that it connects me with customers, and it makes me understand everything they need – and encourages me to work hard and hard to see them happy and keep them satisfied,” said Ms. Zikhali.

When asked about the challenges of the work he does, he said that sometimes it is difficult to present plans for new things that they intend to do for their customers.

“Besides that, I am now looking to continue my work, and expand other banking programs that will be useful to customers, not just for their own enrichment,” said Mrs Zikhali who holds a Bachelor of Technology in Marketing Management from the University of Johannesburg and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Witwatersrand.
