A businessman from Thekwini, Mr. Siyabonga Xulu, who is at odds with the manager of the Municipality of Thekwini, Mr. Musa Mbhele, says that he will be caught dead between him and Mbhele.

He says he will never make the mistake of throwing in the towel so easily since Mbhele has to pay his security company, Solbet Protection, huge sums of money.

It will be remembered that the tussle between Mbhele and Xulu has dragged on for a very long time as they have repeatedly fought each other in public demanding payment

According to him, Xulu was hired by the Council to closely monitor everything that happens in the council including preventing the theft of information about the Council that is stored internally.

He says he was also given the task of monitoring the officials of Durban, according to him he was hired by the former manager of Durban, Mr. Phillip Sithole.

However, when he went out with Mbhele, he asked him to continue the work he was doing before.

He says the money ended up being R44 million, but because it has been growing all these years, it ended up reaching R500 million.

Because Mbhele did not want to sign for the payment of this money, Xulu ended up referring his case to the High Court in Pietermaritzburg and it was dismissed there. Even so, he continues to demand money from Mbhele.

Xulu says that this issue is still going too far because he will never make a mistake or be negligent of being robbed of his power while still eating.

”I will continue to fight until it is clear who is the truth between me and Mbhele. He must know that this is going to go a very long way and it won’t end now,” he said.

Continuing, Xulu said that he was puzzled as to why he was not paid his fees when all the evidence was there.

He insists that all he needs is for it to come out in the end who is the truth between him and Mbhele.

”’What I know is that truth is stronger than lies. Once again, what we are arguing with Mbhele will end up being the truth about this issue,” he said.

”I would have made a big mistake if I could say that I will stop fighting now because I was condemned in court and nothing is going forward than before this issue,” he explained.

Xulu is talking like this just last month, Mbhele answered and said that he will not pay the money that Xulu wants from him because he does not know and he is being negligent by simply throwing away the tax payers money so easily.

”I want to tell you today, my brother, you will not get that money as long as I am the one here in Durban, forget it,” said Mbhele in response to Xulu.
