PRESSURE at work, mental enslavement due to romantic relationship challenges, lack of job opportunities, poverty and other daily problems – these are the main reasons that have turned out to make many people use the products of the famous medicine, Ashwagandha.

Being in the headlines of these pill products, they are stimulants that appear to be very useful by reducing the burden on the mind and body of those facing different conditions that enslave him; it is proven by many people who praise the beauty of this product.

However, an independent doctor who constantly researches different conditions and diseases in the world, Dr. Lethukwenama Letsoalo from Bergville, has warned people that using this product excessively can have a negative impact on their health; in their mind and body.

In the videos he posted on his YouTube page, Dr. Letsoalo said that in his research on this stimulant, he found that its plant is found in different countries around the world, especially in India – where it is most abundant.

“The thing that keeps us from falling down on many people who use it is that we help by suppressing a chemical in the human mind called Gaba, which if you have used it you will benefit because its suppression helps to keep your mood low.

“It also makes you not worry about things and situations that are not going well in your life, and it also suppresses a chemical called cortisol, which controls the level of stress in the human mind,” said Dr. Letsoalo.

Continuing, he said that the bad thing about Ashwagandha is that if you use it too much, it affects the liver which can be seen by the change in the way your skin looks, and the color of your urine – yellow.

“It is very dangerous for pregnant women because it can cause miscarriage, and it can have a negative effect on the child if it is used by a woman who breastfeeds the child. That’s how experts say it is dangerous for people under the age of 18,” he said.

The power and dangers of Ashwagandha have led to its use being banned in Denmark, while France and India have set regulations governing its use.

“The problem that exists at the moment is that the research that has been done on it has been done on a very small number of people and it has not been distributed in many places in the world, which means that there is not enough information to clearly show how bad or good its long-term impact is on those who use it,” he said.

Dr Letsoalo challenged the government to stand up for the way this incentive is being used to prevent future damage.

“We are currently facing the problem that our country is in fourth place among the leading countries in Africa in terms of the number of people who kill themselves, which seems to be one of the reasons why people stick to such products to try to avoid that feeling that comes to them because of the different situations that bother them in life,” said Dr. Letsoalo.
