We have been mourned by the rings of Sigonyela, a famous KwaMashu shaman because of the allegations of being the mastermind behind the killing of three people in 2020.
This traditional healer was arrested by the KwaZulu-Natal police team which investigates politically motivated killings (PKTT). According to a statement from the police in this province, the suspect was arrested for involvement in the death of a member ofAfrican National Congress Youth League (ANCYL), Mr. Thamsanqa Kingdom Gcabashe and Metro Police officers in Durban, Mr. Lindokuhle Madonsela and Mr. Ndumiso Thusi.
They are just crying for the suspect following a thorough investigation into the killing of these men in the incidents that took place in May and June 2020. Until today, six people have been sentenced in connection with this murder, including a member of the ANC branch in Hammarsdale, Mr. Holy Shozi. “On May 26, 2020, Mr. Thamsanqa Kingdom Gcabashe was shot dead outside his home in G Ward, Mpumalanga Township, KwaZulu-Natal.
The investigation also revealed that Gcabashe was killed by an expert because it is suspected that he was killed by bulls who thought he was the municipal police chief, Lindokuhle Madonsela,” said the police statement.
We continue to say that after 14 days, on June 9, 2020, Madonsela and Thusi, were exposed to sewage while they were at work.
“Thusi was going to pick up Madonsela when men armed with guns fired at their car with a barrage of bullets, and they died at the scene. The investigation by the KZN PKTT revealed that the suspect was making fun of Madonsela’s relationship with his wife and was plotting to kill her.”
The statement says that after the accidental killing of Gcabashe, the suspects then gathered and searched for their target, which made Madonsela and her colleague Thusi, eventually taken to the police station. We said the PKTT investigated, arrested and sentenced five men involved in this case, namely Fana Shabalala, Zamokuhle Nyandu, Mthokozisi Ntando Blose, Holy Shozi and Sandile Msezane.
“The suspects are facing charges of murder and conspiracy to murder. The investigation revealed that the suspects were recruited and paid to carry out the murder. Nyanga was arrested today and is expected to appear before the Hammarsdale Magistrate on Monday,” concluded the police statement. As a result, the case against the five suspects has been postponed for the first trial at the Durban High Court.
