President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended the final deadline for the Madlanga Commission’s report investigating crime, political interference, and corruption in the justice system.
The Commission will deliver its report on Monday, 16 November 2026, instead of 31 August, as originally expected.
The extension of time given by the president sets the deadline for testimony on Friday, October 2, 2026, and the deadline for the report on Monday, November 16, so that the Commission can close the topics that we have opened during the hearing of the testimony so far.
The extension allows the Commission to hear evidence on all matters listed in its terms of reference.
President Ramaphosa also expressed his great gratitude for the work done by the Commission and the way law enforcement agencies are following the evidence from Madlanga’s trials.
