MBUMBULU entertainment venue, Maqaqa Exclusive Lifestyle, aims to entertain the villagers during Durban July with its big event that will bring together musicians from different fields.

Ms Hlengiwe Ngwabe who is the manager of the area said the event will be held on Saturday.

He said the main purpose of this is to bring happiness to the people of the villages and also have a sense of what will happen at the big horse and fashion event in Greyville this Saturday.

He stressed that the image should not be created that Durban July is only for the enjoyment of the people in the cities when it is not.

”We felt it was important that our rural people, when it comes to Durban July, also have a feeling about it. We then organized this event for them, which we believe they will definitely enjoy. We urge them to come out in large numbers,” he explained.

He said there will be no need for people to go to Durban if they want to enjoy the Durban July weekend because they will be taking the fun and bringing it to them.

”We believe that this is the kind of event that people will enjoy a lot. We have no doubts about that. It’s just for them to go out and buy tickets so they can enjoy being a part of it,” he explained.

He stressed that it is good that the royal areas have events of this type without seeming to inspire.

He also encouraged other event planners to start now and consider the villagers when there is a big weekend like Durban July.

He said they chose to invite singers from different genres of music so that everyone who will be there will be happy.

Among the artists who said they will be there are Mjolisi, Young Stunna, Sam Deep, Thatohatsi, X Tracy, SpheLive, Blacks JNR, Funky, Cassava, Phumuza, Symphonic, DJ TX, DJ Lavisto, DJ Stayela, Masiya Nation, Mcebystyles, DJ Sbuda, Uncool MC, Mad Buddies and others.

The program will be hosted by Khozi FM broadcaster, Zama Mseleku in collaboration with Simo and Nkunzemnyama.

He said the tickets have started to be available at different places including Pick n Pay and Webticket.

He said to enter the General gate is R200 and VIP is R300.

He also revealed that there are tables of different prices as the silver one costs R7 000, the gold one costs R10 000 and the platinum one costs R15 000.
