DUE TO the fact that if you experience in the services that unite the different congregations of Zion, each person pays attention and watches over the people they know and are familiar with – it becomes easy for there to be inheritance and wariness among the brothers, especially the women.
Realizing what made the ladies of the different Zionist churches start the idea of cutting off that inheritance and that boundary especially for the Zionist women.
The idea is a picnic gathering called The Becoming Affair: Faith and Identity in Christ, which will be held at the Emmarantia Botanical Gardens, Randburg, Johannesburg on Saturday July 18 from 10 am. Entry costs R200.
One of the organizers of the gathering, Ms Amahle Mkhonta of the Entokozweni Christian Church in Zion, said that the program started at the TikTok platform where Ms Minenhle Nkosi of the Throne of Grace Ministries used to discuss different situations that interfere with the worship of women in different churches.
“That’s when we were deliberating on different situations, we were also dealing with the problem of wariness that exists when we meet in services that unite different churches, then we realized that this would be a good plan to end this problem by strengthening our relationship,” he said.
Continuing, he said that they will be accompanied by Ms. Ntokozo Mtshali from Enyonini Mission, Ms. Thina Buthelezi from Isimanga Church of Christ and Ms. Thandiwe Nkomonde from Hope of Grace.
“It will be a free event and we will be discussing all the bad things and misbehaving in the services, then we will also discuss the importance of building and strengthening relationships as women of different churches,” said Ms. Mkhonta.
He said because they are just starting, they expect there to be at least 60 single women and a little more than that, and they are also looking to expand to other areas in Johannesburg and other provinces in the country.
