The Vivo Farmers’ Marketing Day has developed over the years from a local marketing event to a full-fledged platform on Vivo in Limpopo where agriculture, community and development come together. And this is more than just another festival.

This year’s program has been deliberately expanded to not only provide entertainment, but to give real value and an unforgettable experience to visitors.

One of the core focal points is practical agricultural demonstrations that show visitors how modern farming really works. The aim is to make agriculture visible and understandable to young and old.

“Visitors can expect practical demonstrations that show how agriculture functions and develops today. The aim is to bring people closer to the reality of farming,” says the organizing committee.

The festival is on September 4 and 5 on Vivo and promises to bring together farmers, businesses and communities from across the country.

Panel discussions will also play an important role and revolve around topics such as water management, foot and mouth disease, food safety, export challenges, economic pressure and the future of young farmers.

The conversations are not only problem-oriented, but rather solution-driven.

Because ultimately the question is not only “what is wrong?”, but rather “what can we do with what we have and where do we find ourselves?”

Elements such as Die Spilpunt, the Mamma Mall and the Friday night knife barbecue also bring a delightfully sociable and interactive character to the festival.

The Hub is specifically designed as a meeting and experience space for the men, where discussions, demonstrations and networking events are held in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Friday evening knife barbecue once again offers an opportunity for farmers, businesses and the community to socialize around fire, food and conversation.

According to the organizers, these social elements are important, because they strengthen community relations. “Community is not built only in formal meetings or official programs. Many times the most important conversations take place around a fire.”
