It is expected that a police officer arrested on charges of rape, two counts of attempted murder, as well as discharging a firearm into the public, will apply for bail on Friday.

The suspect (32) who is said to be working at the Public Order Police (POP) unit in Mariannhill, Pinetown, is said to have raped his girlfriend (19) who is a Grade 12 student at Dumehlezi High School in Ntuzuma on May 16. All the charges against him are said to have happened at their home in Ntuzuma.

Sigonyela’s bracelets were mourned on Wednesday, following his indictment on Monday. He appeared at the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

According to Solezwe, through a source close to the matter, the victim came to them on May 16 bleeding from the head and face and with scars on his body.

It is said that he told the woman who is his guardian that he had been abused by the suspect.

“He then revealed that the suspect, whom he was in love with, raped him after she refused to sleep with him,” said the source.

He said that since the victim was injured, he revealed that the suspect attacked him with the butt of a gun, which he said he was hitting him with.

He revealed that the victim was initially reluctant to press charges against the suspect, saying that he was afraid to arrest him because he is an angry person.

“The case was finally opened on May 18 at the Ntuzuma police station,” said the source.

The source said the victim has returned to school, although it is not clear if he has fully recovered.

The country also found out that the case of attempted murder and releasing a gun to the public is related to the victim’s friend who appears to be 16 years old.

Another source revealed that the suspect first locked the first victim in the house, saying that he would not go to school the next day as he was taking exams. It turns out that the first fighter then asked him not to go after his books, which was something he ignored, he just left, and locked him in the house.

“The first victim stayed behind and called himself the suspect’s alcohol, and when he returned, he just wrapped a stick around him,” said the second source.

He said that after beating him, he went out and locked the door, the first victim stayed behind and called his friend, telling him to call the police because the suspect had locked him and had injured him. It is said that he asked him to come to the suspect’s house.

“When the second assailant arrived, the suspect came back and continued to beat the first assailant. When he said he was going to intervene, he pulled out a gun, and then shot at him, and that’s when the second assailant ran away,” said the second source.

He went on to say that the police are still investigating whether there is no case that can be filed against the suspect’s mother since the incident happened while she was there, and she is the one who incited the suspect to continue attacking the first victim, saying that he does not need this child in his home.

The source revealed that apart from his love of alcoholic beverages, the suspect also smokes drugs.
