Siwelele FC (2)

Kaizer Chiefs (0) 0

Kaizer Chiefs’ streak of unbeaten games in a row ended in Bloemfontein as they were beaten 2-0 by Siwelele FC at Toyota Stadium on Wednesday night.

Amakhosi entered this game having played seven games in a row without a stick.

Of the five wins, they played in two draws, including the home team’s game against Orlando Pirates at the weekend which ended in a 1-1 draw.

It quickly turned for Pfefeni when a player who once ran for them, Tebogo Potsane, put Siwelele ahead in the seventh minute.

Potsane also had a hand in the goal blocked by Siphesihle Jeza in the 26th minute, and the home team went into the break with the game in control.

Siwelele was the one who got the best chances to add goals in the second half but failed to use them, the game ended 2-0.

This result left Amakhosi still in third place with 47 points from 26 games, while Siwelele climbed to ninth place with 32 points from equal games.

Siwele will face Durban City at Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium on Tuesday.

Chiefs will return to the field on Wednesday night to face Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld.
