He will fight in his usual way even though there are special prizes for those who will defeat the boxer from KwaZulu-Natal, Thabiso Mchunu.

Mchunu will meet Kareb Shitana from Namibia in the Cruiserweight division in a six-round fight that will be held at the Galleria Events Venue in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Saturday night.

Although Mchunu was supposed to go to fight in Russia this month, that trip ended up failing due to the ongoing war in this country.

What is different about these Knockout Chaos fights organized by Aquila Boxing Promotions is that there is money that will be earned by the boxers who finish their fights early.

Those who knock down their opponents in the first round will be awarded R30 000, and the money will decrease by R5000 every time the round ends.

“I am very happy to get this opportunity. I feel I am in good shape and I am ready for the fight. I promise it will be a high-level fight,” said Mchunu at a press conference in Sandton on Tuesday.

“I still hope that the opportunity to fight in Russia or anywhere in the world will come. If I get the chance to fight abroad, I will take it.”

“I can’t promise that I will quickly knock down the person I will face on Saturday because every time I try to do that it doesn’t go well for me. I will continue the way I usually fight because I believe that I am one of the most stylish boxers in the country,” concluded Mchunu.
