KAIZER Chiefs narrowed the gap between themselves and Orlando Pirates by defeating Magesi FC 4-1 in the Betway Premiership match at Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane, on Wednesday night.

At the break Amakhosi lead 2-0 with goals from Flavio da Silva and Wandile Duba.

Mduduzi Shabalala added the third in the middle of the second half, Diteboho Mofokeng gave Magesi a goal to report, before Khanyisa Mayo drove the last nail with a goal and headed it into the net.

This result left this team coached by Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef in third place on the log with 45 points in 23 games.

It is 10 points behind the second-placed Pirates, who have played 24 games.

Amakhosi will face Polokwane City, right in Polokwane, on Saturday at 5.30 pm.

Ezimnyama will clash with MaZulu FC at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday at 3pm.

These rivals from Soweto will meet at the top of the home team which will be played at FNB Stadium next Sunday.
